That is the complete timeline of what happened yesterday. It was so fun and very enjoyable. It is great to see the AMBLVD MODELS once again namely Erika Ongtauco, Eng Siy, Ivan Siy, Noelle Samson, the PHOTOGRAPHER namely Dek Tan, their friend Richmond and my cousin Jaimie Tintiangko. We met at Good Earth Roasts in Rockwell for some food and drinks but unfortunately time is running out then we went to Warehouse. Danced a lil, talked a lil, laughed a lil, drank a lil and SPENT A LOT!!!! Took a few pics as well. We got bored at Warehouse because the crowd isn't that great as well as the music so we decided to transfer. Went to Fiamma for a subtle relaxed fun. Danced again, talked again, laughed again, drank again, SPENT AGAIN and all felt hungry so we went to McDo for some fatty food then went home.

New Cut by Toni & Guy

Yesterday, I went to Toni & Guy again to have my haircut. I was scheduled last week, Sunday, 06/22/08 but unfortunately, because of Typhoon Frank here in the Philippines, my hairstylist, Roger, couldn;t make it to work because of the strong winds, rain and flood here in the capital city as well. I gathered all my patience and waited until this week. At long last, I had my hair-cut yesterday. I feel my hair is really thick and out of style already that is why I am getting irritable.

New Ad Campaign of Amblvd

Watch out for the release of the new Ad campaign of Amblvd THIS WEEK. Yup, you read that correctly, This week!!! It will be posted estimately in 10 of their branches. This is the first time Amblvd decided to embark in a project like this. When I asked Mrs. Jennifer Ching-Chua, the General Manager, in my personal interview she said : " We decided to put an ad for Amblvd for the people to see how beautiful and artistic our clothes are when worn. This would create better awareness to the consumer. There is a different feel when you see the clothes in the hanger at the stores and when the clothes are being worn by people." Living up to their famous tagline which is " LIVE YOUR STYLE" Amblvd is famous for its hip-hop, rock and the most recent, streetwear theme. Its stores are being designed artistically by none other than Mr. Albert Ching himself. Yup, they don't hire professionals to do their display and their interior. No other retail store here in the Philippines could ever match the design and art of Amblvd. Truly the sleeping giant has awoken and is now hungry. Amblvd has a sister company Hot Topic which sells female accessories, shoes, bags, belts, novelty items and can be found in SM City Sta. Mesa and SM City North EDSA as well.

Amblvd can be found in the following branches: SM City North EDSA, SM City Sta. Mesa, SM City Megamall, SM City Las Pinas, SM City Manila, SM City San Lazaro, SM City Pampanga, SM City Clark, SM City Batangas, SM City Lipa, SM City Dasmarinas, SM City Cebu, Robinsons Place Manila to name a few.

The Incredible Hulk (2008)

Last night my brother, Chin and I watched The Incredible Hulk at Shangrila. Show time is at 9:30pm and the ticket costs Php 180.00 Woahhhh! I can't believe movie nowadays costs that much already sheeeshhhh! It is like the cost of a ticket for a premier showing or an advanced screening of a certain flick way back 19995 to 1999. No wonder why people stop doing advance screenings... hahahahaha

The movie is FAR FAR FAR better than the first hulk. The effects, the story, the actors are all better here compared to the first one. Edward Norton is really a great actor, his expressions, dialogues and movements are simply magnificent. You can see that the actors studied his role very well before accepting to shoot. So if you are the type of person that said "Sighhh! Its a movie about Incredible Hulk again and I am sure it will be disgusting again!" Your wrong brother!! hahahahahahaha So move your ass up and buy yourself a ticket and see the difference between the Hulk (2003) from the Incredible Hulk (2008). Well, the story of the Incredible Hulk practically is about an experiment of Dr. Bruce Banner and Dr. Betty Ross that failed and exposed Dr. Bruce Banner by gamma exposure thus mutating his blood cells that when his heart pumped at 200 then he turns into the Hulk. I almost forgot, one cool thing in this movie is that is has a lot of surprise guestings that makes you smile and also think hmmmmm......? (clue clue)
SEE YOU AT THE MOVIES!!!!!

Sunday Feast

It has always been a family practice that during Sundays mom will always prepare and cook delightful, mouth-watering and hearty feast for us. This is the day wherein we are all present in the dining table sharing stories, discussing problems, solving situations and etc. Mom always makes it a point that despite our busy schedule on the weekdays we should give utmost importance on Sunday especially during meal time (lunch and dinner).

I managed to document today's Sunday lunch just to show you how special sunday meals are for us. Hope you do have time for your family as well not only because it is the basic unit of the society but your family will always be there no matter what happens, despite your downfalls they will always be there to back you up and help you stand up everytime you fall. Family members can be irritating at times, and that is a fact, but they will never leave you. They will teach you a lesson and make you feel the pain of your mistakes but they will never foresake.

Happy Independence Day Philippines!!

Happy Happy 110th Independence Day to you my beloved Philippines. You had a share of sad and tough history. You had gone through several masters mainly the Spanish, the Americans and the Japanese but still you manage to fight for your own freedom through your people. This is what Independence mean, own laws, own flag, own country. Aren't you proud that every morning you wake up, you see the Philippine flag waving and not the flag of a foreign land? Aren't you proud that we sing our own National Anthem, abide our own laws and we serve no one but our own?

I know you are undergoing an unending turmoil right now, it is not because you are mean or your soil lack fertility but because the drivers behind the wheel are the ones exploiting you. Some of your children are a problem too. Some uprooted themselves and searched for a better land to plant themselves in. But despite all of these, the majority still loves you. There are still a lot out there who wakes up in the morning and say.... " I AM PROUD TO BE A FILIPINO, I AM PROUD TO BE YOUR CHILDREN!"

American Boulevard's 1st Photo Shoot

Today is "d" day. It is American Boulevard's 1st Photo Shoot. I am invited by my cousin, Achie Jen to be one of the models for this event. I'm really grateful for the invitation and to model for American Boulevard is such a great honor on my part. The plan is to display the pics at 10 American Boulevard's branches in their show window. Yikes!!! hahaha!

Just to give you a brief history and introduction of what American Boulevard is. It started as a fashion boutique that has a 50's to 60's theme and motiff (James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Jukebox, Cadillac to name a few...). It opened its first branch in SM City North EDSA. As time goes by it evolved to what it is now, catering to the youth's rock and hiphop taste in fashion and accessories. It evolved in catering to the preppy and boy next door look as well. This transformation gave rise to what American Boulevard now. Having 16 branches in SM Supermalls, Robinsons Malls and Ayala Malls both in Metro Manila as well as the provinces.

The day started when Achie Jen, Stef and Erika picked me up at around 1:30pm. We headed to dpi Studios located in Ortigas Center near Astoria Plaza. We arrived at around 2pm and we started dressing up for the shoot that will exactly start at 3pm. The photographer and the make-up artist arrived on time as well. As the photographer was preparing the studio (lighting and etc) and the make-up artist was preparing her stuff (eyeshadow, foundation, bronzer, etc.) we were instructed to change our clothes in preparation for the shoot. At first, I thought the shoot will last only for a few hours but we finished at 10pm already. Imagine? 3pm to 10pm! Whoaaaa! But I myself didn't noticed it because we were all enjoying the shoot and the time together. Meeting new friends, discovering new horizons, experiencing new stuffs and learning new things. It was a tiring but it is all worth it.

Targus

Being a product officer of Targus for MSi-ECS has its perks. I am dealing directly with our vendor in Targus Malaysia and Targus Singapore, namely Sri. Their recent trip last April here in Manila, I was introduced to them and they noticed that being the new product officer and the one who is in charge of Targus' business here in the Philipines, I myself should carry and use Targus bags and accessories. They are willing to give me items that I wish to own. Obviously, I don't want to take advantage of the privelege given to me so I decided that I should own a bag first for my laptop. I asked for a wireless rechargable mouse from them also and the latest Targus accessories I acquired was a ultra-compact thin portable laptop speaker powered by Nxt Technology. Thanks! I will surely ask for more freebies soon! hahahahahahahaha

Anyways, to those of you who are interested in owning a better laptop bag, Targus is simply the better choice. Not because I am their product officer and the one who drives the business for Targus here in the Philippines but it is proven and it is the most preferred brand for laptop bags in the United States.

Targus is available at your nearest computer shops here in Metro Manila and in the provinces as well. You can find Targus at Octagon, TCA, Complink, Electroworld, Microstation, Power Mac Center, Datamax, Datacore, Brilliant Technologies and etc. Please visit their site at http://www.targus.com/my for more product information and product pictures. If any interest you, please feel free to call me at my direct line (02) 688-3732 or email me at jlim@msi-ecs.com.ph I will be more than willing to assist you.

Here are the Targus products I own as of the moment:
